In fact, Shawn Johnson did it first appearing on the eighth season of the series alongside Mark Ballas.
Johnson ended up winning that season becoming the youngest winner ever at the time. She returned to the stage for an all-star edition of the series during season 15 where she came in second place with Derek Hough.
Shawn Johnson, of course, is best known for competition in the Summer Olympics as part of the US gymnastic team. She took home the gold medal for her balance beam routine and earned a silver medal for both the team all-around competition and the floor competition. Since then Johnson has been pretty busy living her life to the fullest.
Season ten of Dancing with the Stars featured the second oldest contestant ever. Buzz Aldrin hit the dance floor at the age of 80 years old.
Aldrin was paired with professional dancer Ashley DelGrosso. Unfortunately, their time together was shortlived and they were eliminated after the third week of competition. Buzz Aldrin is arguably one of the most famous astronauts in the United States. He most famously was apart of the Apollo 11 mission which was the first space mission to land on the Moon.
